🚨Although this movie is being created through a Christian ministry, its primary target audience is not Christians. Battle For Souls is an evangelistic film designed to reach people who may never walk into a church or watch a traditional Christian movie.

One of the first demographics I want to reach is people living in urban and inner-city communities across America. I want viewers to see characters, environments, struggles, and conversations they recognize. My goal is for the audience to become so immersed in the story that it feels authentic rather than scripted.

Because of that commitment to authenticity, viewers may hear some PG-13-level language from certain characters. This is not included to glorify profanity or compromise the message of the film. It is used in appropriate contexts to realistically portray certain characters and the culture and environments from which they come.

This approach reflects my own experiences evangelizing in communities such as Third Ward, Fifth Ward, and Sunnyside in Houston. When I went into these neighborhoods to share the Gospel, the people I encountered did not suddenly change the way they spoke because a camera was present. There was foul language, difficult situations, and real-life struggles—but that authenticity created opportunities to meet people where they were and share the truth of Jesus with them.

That same authenticity is important to Battle For Souls.

I want someone watching this movie to recognize themselves in a character and think, “That person is like me. I understand what they are going through.” Then, as that character encounters the truth of Jesus Christ, my prayer is that the viewer will recognize his or her own need to repent, believe, and follow Jesus.

Ultimately, Battle For Souls is about demonstrating what it looks like to bring Jesus to the streets—not by pretending darkness does not exist, but by showing the power of Christ to reach people in the middle of it.
