Saved By Faith Alone?

Only one statement can be true. People who believe in "Faith alone salvation," make the statement above. For them to say that saving faith is NEVER alone means that Faith alone does NOT save.

Bible Example of Faith Alone:  42 Nevertheless many, even of the authorities, believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue,
John 12:42 NRSV

These authorities truly believed in Jesus but they did not CONFESS Him as Lord or as the Messiah publicly because of fear that they would be expelled from the synagogue.
The reason they did not confess was because the Pharisees said this to come against what Jesus says in Matthew 10:32.

22 His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that anyone who confessed Jesus to be the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue.
John 9:22 NRSV

Jesus said this first.
32 “Everyone, therefore, who acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledge before my Father in heaven, 33 but whoever denies me before others, I also will deny before my Father in heaven.
Matthew 10:32-33 NRSV

9 because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For one believes with the heart, leading to righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, leading to salvation.
Romans 10:9-10 NRSV

According to the words of Jesus and Paul these authorities are not saved because of their NON CONFESSION. Confession of Jesus is REQUIRED for salvation. These authorities had FAITH ALONE but yet we see Jesus and Paul say because of NO CONFESSION they are NOT SAVED.

No one is Saved by Faith alone.

17 So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.
James 2:17 NRSV

We are saved by FAITH & LOVE (Obedience)

6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love.
Galatians 5:6 NRSV

22 Let anyone be accursed who has no love for the Lord. Our Lord, come!
1 Corinthians 16:22 NRSV

13 And now faith, hope, and love remain, these three, and the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13 NRSV

3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
1 John 2:3-6 KJV

Let us REMEMBER these words of Jesus:
46 Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practice] what I tell you?
Luke 6:46 AMPC
